Founder and Chairman of Spa Group , Surendra Mohnot is a university Gold Medallist in Mechanical Engineering. He has acquired 46 years of experience in various fields and is a unique blend of corporate stint and entrepreneurship. At a very young age of 32, he was heading a company manufacturing industrial gases. Not only was he heading the same, but actually conceived and led successful execution of projects. His corporate stint and all-round skills gave him the motivation to try his hand at entrepreneurship. After carefully studying the business environment he chose the then emerging field of Oil & Gas. His first foray was a path breaking and pioneering effort. He pioneered the indigenization of H₂S management activities including training, safety services, renting of equipment etc which was always an activity outsourced to companies outside India

Being a specialist in R&D, technology development and innovations his key research areas have always been green ventures and developing environmentally responsible technologies. A few of his detailed research areas have been in different fields like thermocol waste plastic based lightweight bricks, waste to energy initiatives, aqua microcrop based feed, food & fuel projects, sewage & waste water treatment using Duckweed as an engine to not only recycle waste water to potable quality but in the process also produce high potential by-products like proteins, bioplastics, engineered lumber etc

He continues to be a keen learner and spends a lot of time researching and reading about all emerging areas. Under his able leadership the group is diversifying into new exciting areas of business.

Akhil Mohnot is a management graduate from Coventry Business School, U.K. Currently he is leading the operations of the group besides being a key initiator to all the diversification activities. Since his joining the group in 1999 he has demonstrated admirable leadership qualities while handling many critical assignments and business situations. His hands-on experience equips him to guide and lead Spa Group with proficiency. Akhil is passionate about technology and its practical usage. His operational skills and passion for technology makes him a very effective leader. Considering that the group gives a lot of emphasis to Quality and HSE activities Akhil personally leads the concerned activities. He is a right mix of youth & experience and set to lead the group to newer heights.

Mr Nandi is a highly accomplished professional. After graduating in Chemistry (Honours) he obtained a Master’s degree in Marketing Management.

After completing his studies, in the year 1972, he joined a pioneering chemical company to market speciality chemicals.. He decided to pursue his career in marketing of speciality chemicals and related areas.
Over the years he gained vast and wide experience in speciality chemicals, anti-bacterials, nutraceuticals, vitamins, etc. In these sectors he led teams for techno-commercial studies to assist companies in deciding their forays.

In 2008 he joined Spa Group, as a Technical & Research Advisor, to support the group's ambition to create products belonging to areas of wellness, nutraceuticals, cosmeceutical, household usage, industrial performance, cleaners etc. through the “Green Route". The products thus developed are generally chemical-free, non-toxic, non-irritant and far more effective and efficient than their synthetic versions.

He is further working with Spa Group’s research team in the in-house laboratory to develop protocols based on immuno-therapy for life style diseases like cancer, arthritis, diabetes, alzheimer’s , dementia, cardio vascular diseases, etc.
Mr Nandi is a voracious reader on various subjects which help him and the group remain updated with the latest in the chosen fields.
He is currently also involved in the mission of MDR TB eradication by 2025.
